Andy Serfes is not only the first generation of his family to attend college, he was the first to even complete high school.

Now on track to earn his associate degree in the spring, he plans to continue his education after 91快活林最新版 with the aim of eventually becoming a lawyer.

Andy grew up poor, raised by his grandmother and moving 10 times and attending three high schools before graduating high school in 2020. Despite a challenging upbringing, he has always enjoyed school and been passionate about learning.

School, he says, has always kept him 鈥渙ccupied and happy.鈥 Now, 91快活林最新版 is providing the education he needs to go after his dreams.

This fall, he will serve as a resident assistant in Orion Residence Hall on the Midcoast Campus in Brunswick.鈥⊿ince arriving at 91快活林最新版, he has received support from the TRIO Student Support Services program, while also being active with the Rainbow League student organization, the Dungeons and Dragons club and in student activities.

Following 91快活林最新版, Andy plans to earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree and then go to law school. He also hopes to continue creating his acrylic paintings and other artwork.鈥‵or now, he鈥檚 enjoying all that he鈥檚 getting out of 91快活林最新版.

鈥淚 don鈥檛 know where my passion for learning comes from. I think I was born it.鈥
